Shershaah Movie Review : Sidharth Malhotra and Kira Advani Starrer Great Tribute to Captain Vikram Batra

Shershaah Movie review

Shershaah is an upcoming biography drama movie which is directed by Vishnuvardhan Kulasekaran and produced by Dharma Productions. Shershaah movie is based on the story of Captain Vikram Batra, A young playful and filmy Punjabi boy who journey from college university to an Indian Military officer who was awarded with prestigious Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest and most prestigious award for valour, for his courageous act in 1999 Kargil War. We also get to experience the Kargil war in Kashmir in between India and Pakistan.

What is good and bad aspects of Shershaah Movie? The underwhelming aspects, Language the only criticism that movie has character like Dimple by Kiara Advani and Vikram by Sidharth Malhotra  attempter to speaking fluent Punjabi to one another. It is just of mixes with predominantly hindi and addition of Punjabi pronoun. The Good one is Screenplay and Direction. The story, screenplay and dialogue have written by Sandeep Srivastav and the film has been directed by Vishnuvardhan. What I love about the process of this film journey from written script what we saw on amazon prime video is a technique and order that story in which the story has been told.

The film not showcase in chronological order but go back forth between the Kargil war been fought and moments that provide context where vikram is currently.  Whether it be Vikram obsession with the army at young age through the rerun Param Vir Chakra in the 80’s or budding romance between Dimple and Vikram. The Film never spend too much time to providing reference to context and therefore the first hour is spent in understanding Vikram and his world. Later half focuses on War strategy and tactical moves by Indian army.

The Music, the melodious tune were perfectly captured the meet, cute and infatuation phase between Dimple and Vikram. Ranjha Sung beautifully by Jasleen Royal and B Praak establishes the eternal bond. Romance and Chemistry, the romantic subplot in war film has assimilated beautifully. The truly resonates the song from the album called “Kabhi Tumhe” Sung beautifully by Darshan. War Strategy, Action and VFX, it showcases intense detail on how mission executed in locality where there is probability of civilian causality.

Shershaah Movie Review

Sidharth Malhotra for the role of Vikram Batra. In Recent times, Sidharth work in bollywood is not going well with recent choice of movies but to boost his career he need this type of movie so he get appreciated in the Bollywood and also his fans. Kiara Advani playing the role of Punjabi Girl and the romance commences from Punjabi university between Vikram Batra and Dimple Cheema is one of the classic novel stories of romance. Vikram Batra had promised marriage to Dimple Cheema in full filmy fashion but sadly he didn’t complete the promise because we lost the brave soldier in combat.  Dimple Cheema is still remences about the beautiful memories with him. The Film has romantic subplot is essential to tell the Vikram Batra Story.
